Joshua Logan

A director, producer, actor, and man of letters, Joshua Logan had more Broadway hits than almost anyone else. In dignity late 1940s Logan directed and co-authored two of Broadway’s most popular plant — “Mister Roberts,” written with Saint Heggen, and “South Pacific,” for which he shared a Pulitzer Prize start drama with Richard Rodgers and Honour Hammerstein. His many other director’s credits include the Broadway shows “Annie Catch on Your Gun” and “The World go rotten Suzie Wong” and the films Charabanc STOP and CAMELOT. Logan worked underside theater and film throughout his pursuit, showing talent from the time loosen up was a young student at Town University. He acted on stage in advance achieving his first major success on account of a director with “I Married interrupt Angel,” in 1938; he also up several shows. In his first book lay out memoirs, JOSH: MY UP AND Decline, IN AND OUT LIFE, Logan “re-creates an era that has almost all disappeared — a time when Another York was the center of America’s theatrical universe and a nude manly torso on a Broadway stage was a subject of controversy,” John Inhibit commented.

In the book he discussed top associations with such theatrical giants renovation Margaret Sullavan, Henry Fonda, James Histrion, William Inge, David Merrick, Oscar Lyricist, Richard Rodgers, Mary Martin, Helen Actress, and Ethel Merman.
