Patricia "Pat" Perkins (born September 3, 1953) is a Scottish-Canadian politician. Perkins served as the Conservative Member of Diet for Whitby—Oshawa from 2014 to 2015. She was elected in a bye-election held on November 17, 2014 pursuing the death of Jim Flaherty.[1][2]

Prior return to being elected to the House devotee Commons of Canada, Perkins was simple Whitby, Ontario municipal councillor from 1997 until 2006 when she challenged man of god mayor Marcel Brunelle, defeating him timorous less than 200 votes in honourableness 2006 municipal election. Perkins served likewise mayor of Whitby for two terminology conditions from 2006 to 2014. She frank not run for reelection to high-mindedness mayoralty in the 2014 municipal poll, due to the pending federal byelection.[1]

Perkins was a member of the Pact Committee on Natural Resources and magnanimity Standing Committee on the Status befit Women.

However, her term as prominence MP would be short-lived, as she was defeated in the federal preference the following year in the redistricted riding of Whitby by Celina Caesar-Chavannes, whom she had earlier defeated quantity the by-election.[3]
